action

Max has decided to take care of Mario Krüger because he wants to prevent his social crash. He has to cancel his vacation trip with Hertha for lack of time. He sets up a studio in his apartment because Mario is supposed to be a hobby painter. As if that weren't enough, Mario brings his music system with him, which runs loudly in the apartment.

For these reasons, Hertha moves into the arbor until Max is sensible again.

But Max quickly gets into problems and more than he would like: he lost a lot of money in the company. Erna Mischke, his neighbor, wants to keep his promise that he will help her, that mountaineer Ferdinand Holz will finally marry her.

Max's daughter-in-law Waltraut is fed up with the cheating of her husband Horst Baumann (Maxes son) and Monika has problems with infidelities with her friend Jens (Max's grandson). Both want to be comforted by Max and talk to him.

Meanwhile, Mario is probably the only one who was at the crime scene, suspected of stealing the lost money from the company, but Maxe, like many others, does not believe it. In order to raise the money anyway, Mario is even willing to sell his beloved music system, which he normally would never have done. Finally it becomes clear that Erna has brought the money lying around to safety, Maxe is relieved. Since Mario's innocence has been proven, he can buy back his music system.

In the end everyone gets along again, Erna finally gets the "yes" from Ferdinand to the wedding of the two, and Hertha also moves back into the apartment.
