Keith Alexander (musician)

Keith Alexander (born November 23, 1963 in New York City as Keith Alexander Bonanno, United States , † July 11, 2005 ) was an American guitarist and body modification artist. He was the guitarist of the thrash metal band Carnivore until 1986 and a member of Dee Snider's SMFs in the 1990s . Since the beginning of the 1990s he was active in the piercing and body modification scene .

Life

In mid-1983, 19-year-old Keith Alexander Bonanno became the guitarist of the metal band Carnivore. In the course of the debut album Carnivore , he shortened his name to Keith Alexander. Then Alexander left the band and founded the thrash metal band Primal Scream, with whom he released the album Volume One in 1987 . The band broke up in 1989 and Alexander began a career as a body modification artist at Gauntlet Enterprises and from 1996 to 2002 at his own company, Modern American BodyArts. His work has been shown regularly in BMEzine and he wrote guest articles for the magazine under the pseudonym nootropic . Musically, he joined the mid to late 1990s as a member of Twisted Sister - tribute band from Dee Snider in appearance, their 1997 live album Twisted Forever - SMF's Live he can be heard.

In the 2000s, Alexander worked in the field of new media . a. for Cingular Wireless and athmosphereBBDO and has won various industry awards. From 2003 to 2004 he taught courses in web design at New York's New School University . The enthusiastic cyclist died on July 11, 2005 in a bicycle accident.
