Keith Baxter (drummer)

Keith Baxter (born February 19, 1971 in Lancaster , † January 4, 2008 in Lancaster ) was a British rock musician .

Life

Baxter was one of the founding members of the folk metal band Skyclad in 1990 . He was the band's drummer until 1995 before forming the group 3 Colors Red with Pete Vuckovic , Chris McCormack and Ben Harding . With the band he achieved chart successes as part of the Britrock wave in the late 1990s. The first two albums were in the top 20 of the charts and the single Beautiful Day just missed the top 10 with eleventh place as the best placement.

After the band broke up for the first time in 1999, he founded the band Elevator with Vuckovic, among others. In 2002 he temporarily replaced at Therapy? the retired drummer Graham Hopkins . When 3 Colors Red reunited in 2003, he was back on drums; In 2005, however, the band separated again.

Baxter died of a gastrointestinal bleeding in January 2008 .
