Keith Richard Halliwell Hirst (born October 15, 1932 in Bradford , † October 20, 2015 in North Yorkshire ) was an English football player .

Career

Hirst came in 1953 as an amateur from Low Moor Celtic , a village club near Bradford , to third division Bradford Park Avenue and rose to professional in January 1954. Under manager Norman Kirkman he made his debut on January 2, 1954 in a 2-0 home defeat at Barnsley FC instead of right winger Dennis Brickley . Hirst's contract was terminated in April 1954 without any further competitive play; further career stations are not documented.

Hirst last lived in Langthorpe near Boroughbridge and died shortly after his 83rd birthday in a hospital in North Yorkshire with his family.
