Keith Knudsen

Keith Knudsen (born October 18, 1948 in Le Mars , Iowa , † February 8, 2005 ) was an American drummer .

Keith Knudsen played since 1974 for the rock band The Doobie Brothers, which was particularly successful in the 1970s . After the band split up temporarily in 1983 , he co-founded Southern Pacific in 1985 , a country band that produced a few hits and a total of four albums by the late 1980s. He then played again for the Doobie Brothers, re- founded in 1993 , with whom he was on stage more than 100 times a year until the end.

Keith Knudsen died on February 8, 2005 of pneumonia .
