Kelly Griffin

Kelly Griffin (born November 7, 1986 in Berkeley ) is an American rugby player .

Life

Griffin grew up in Berkeley , California and attended Berkeley High School . She studied mathematics at the University of California until 2008. Griffin became a member of the Berkeley All Blues Women's Rugby Club rugby team . She won the bronze medal at the Rugby 7th World Cup in Moscow in 2013. She won the gold medal with her team at the 2015 NACRA Women's Rugby Championship . She won the silver medal at the Pan American Games in 2015 . Griffin took part with the US Olympic team as their captain in rugby 7 at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She lives in Chula Vista with her wife and son .
