Kelsey Jane Veltman (born April 2, 1996 in Brampton or Halton Hills ) is a Canadian volleyball player .

Career

Veltman comes from a family of lacrosse players and initially played the sport herself. She began her volleyball career at the Toronto District Christian High School. From 2014 to 2018 she studied at the University of Western Ontario and played on the university team Mustangs. In 2018, the middle blocker was in the extended squad of the Canadian national team for the World Cup . A year later, she took part in the 2019 Summer Universiade with Canada and won the FIVB Challenger Cup. In the 2019/20 season she played for the Italian first division club Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia . Then she was signed by the German Bundesliga club SC Potsdam .

In beach volleyball , Veltman played three tournaments on the NORCECA tour in 2015 and 2016 with Victoria Altomare and Amanda Harnett . Veltman also took part in the 2016 U21 World Cup in Lucerne . In the women's FIVB World Tour 2017 , they achieved top ten results in the 1-star tournaments in Daegu and Ulsan .
