Kelvin Burt

Kelvin Burt (born September 7, 1967 in Birmingham ) is a British racing driver .

Career

After graduating from Jim Russel Racing Drivers' School in 1987, Burt took part in the British Formula Ford Junior 1600 in 1988. In 1989 he was able to become vice-champion in this racing series. In 1990 he moved to the British Formula Vauxhall , where he finished the season in sixth. In the coming year he became Formula Vauxhall champion.

In 1992 he switched to British Formula 3 . In his first season he was able to enter third place overall. In 1993 he became a master.

In 1994 he was a test driver for the Formula 1 team Sasol Jordan . He also drove a few races in the British Touring Car Championship and in the Porsche Supercup . From 1995 to 1998 he drove in the British Touring Car Championship, where he could not record any successes worth mentioning. In 1996 he was also a test driver for the Ligier Gauloises Blondes Formula 1 team .

In 1999 he took part in the Japanese Touring Car Championship, where he finished the season in fifth. In 2000 he drove a few races in the Swedish touring car championship. In 2001 he took part in the British GT Championship, where he became champion in the GTO class. He also drove one race each in the Porsche Supercup and in the American Le Mans series . In 2002 he took part in the Days of Thunder racing series, which he finished second. He also drove a race in the FIA GT championship . In 2003 he drove in the FIA ​​GT Championship and finished the season 25th. In 2006 he drove a few more races in the Porsche Supercup.
