Kemo Ceesay (born June 15, 1971 in Serekunda , Gambia ) is a former Gambian football player .
Career
Ceesay came to Germany after completing his youth training and played for LFC Berlin before moving to Sportfreunde Ricklingen in 1996 . After three years there he went to Saxony-Anhalt for 1. FC Magdeburg . After only one year there, the midfielder moved to 1. FC Lok Stendal in the summer of 2000 . Here, too, he only stayed for a year before moving to FC Carl Zeiss Jena . There he played 24 league games in which he scored a goal. In the 2002/03 season he played a few kilometers from Jena at VfB Pößneck and in the 2003/04 season at VFC Plauen . In 2004 he went back to Lok Stendal in the Saxony-Anhalt Association League for four years. From 2008 to December 2010 he was part of the Prignitzer Kuckuck Kickers squad , before ending his active career at BFC Südring from January to July 2011 .
Ceesay was in the squad of the Gambian national football team 38 times in the course of his career .
