Ken Miyao (* 16th March 1986 in Bonn ) is a German R & B - / pop - singer and former member of the casted boy band Overground .

Life

Miyao won a dance and singing competition at the age of 14. After completing his vocational school qualification , he began an apprenticeship as a cook , but broke it off. In 2003 he took part in the third season of the ProSieben casting show " Popstars ", in which he became a member of the boy group Overground , which prevailed in the final against the girl group Preluders . Overground then temporarily advanced to become the most successful German boy group. The band had several top ten hits, released two albums, and worked with artists such as Montell Jordan and Artemis Gounaki .

Miyao end of 2005 was due to injury to community service community service convicted. In March 2006, Overground visited the Far East at the invitation of a Japanese fan club, the appearances there were partly organized by Miyao's Japanese father Takeshi Miyao. The band Overground broke up in 2008.

In 2007, Miyao was created by JamStar Record Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of ringtone provider Jamba! , signed and released his single Talk 2 Me, produced by Fatman Scoop , on June 22, 2007 . The title was able to place in the top 100 of the German single charts .

In 2011 Miyao took part in the singing casting show The Voice of Germany , where he was among the best 64.
