Ken Ralston

Kenneth "Ken" Ralston (* 1954 ) is an American special effects artist .

Life

Ralston began his career as an assistant cameraman in the specialty department of Industrial Light & Magic on the production of George Lucas ' Star Wars . In the 1980 sequel The Empire Strikes Back , he had already risen to the position of cameraman and subsequently became head of the visual effects for The Dragon Slayer . For this he received his first Oscar nomination in 1982 . In the 1980s he was involved in a variety of science fiction films involved, in addition to Return of the Jedi , he worked on several feature films from the Star Trek film series and the Back to the Future - Trilogy with.
