Do you know me?

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Do you know me? is a waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 381). The work was composed in 1878 and premiered on January 12, 1879 in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein under the direction of the composer.

Remarks

The composer has put the work together based on motifs from the unsuccessful operetta Blinde Kuh . The waltz was not a great success either. The work is part of a series of compositions (opus numbers 382 , 383 , 384 , and 385 ) that take up all the themes from this operetta.

The playing time is about 10 minutes plus minus a few seconds, depending on the musical concept of the respective conductor.
