biography
After growing up in Las Palmas for a few years, Thomas returned to his native London and began to work on a musical career , influenced by Stevie Wonder , Roy Ayers and Earth, Wind and Fire . In the early 1990s he released his first recordings on the Cooltempo label and immediately enjoyed success in the English charts .
In January 1991 the song Outstanding rose to the UK charts and reached number 12. The follow-up single Thinking About Your Love became an even bigger hit in the summer and climbed to number 4 on the UK charts . The single also made it onto the charts in Germany (50th place). Best of You narrowly missed the British Top 10 at number 11, while the album Voices climbed to number 3 in the UK album charts almost at the same time. The release Tender Love rounded off the singer's success towards the end of the year and reached number 26.
After a break of almost two years, Thomas reported back with the single Stay , which was number 22 in the UK in the summer of 1993. Trippin 'on Your Love became Thomas' last top 20 hit in September and reached number 17. The accompanying album Wait for Me climbed to number 10 on the UK charts a short time later. The other releases Piece by Piece and Destiny could not build on earlier successes and had to be content with lower chart ranks.
Thomas achieved a last chart success in September 1995 when the single When I Think of You reached number 27 in England. There were no further commercial successes despite various publications. In the second half of the 1990s he was a member of the trio Bodie & Doyle alongside Eddie Craig and Jim Sullivan. In the early 2000s, Thomas worked with Errol Reid. The two musicians released the single Cheating on Me (Hitting on You) under the project name "Know 1 U No".
