The Kerspe is a right-hand tributary of the Wupper or Wipper in the area of Kierspe , Halver and Wipperfürth . The river to the Kerspe dam is dammed north of Wipperfürth- Ohl .

Part of the stream is located in the Lower Kerspe Valley nature reserve .
