Kerstin Backes-Ternig

Kerstin Backes-Ternig (born April 15, 1971 in St. Wendel ) is a German CDU politician and former member of the Saarland state parliament .

education and profession

Kerstin Backes-Ternig finished her school career in 1991 with the Abitur in St. Wendel and then began studying at the University of Applied Sciences for Libraries in Frankfurt am Main . From 1994 to 1999 she worked part-time at the Saarland University and State Library as a qualified librarian. From 1994 she also studied German and French for teaching at secondary and comprehensive schools at Saarland University .

politics

Kerstin Backes-Ternig joined the Junge Union in 1992 and was represented on the district executive from 1995 to 1999. Since 1995 she has also been a member of the CDU and since March 1999 a member of the board of the local and community association Namborn . In June 1999, she also took over the deputy chairmanship of her party in the St. Wendel district association. For the CDU, she sits in the local council and in the Namborn municipal council.

From 1999 until her resignation on July 31, 2001, she was a member of the Saarland state parliament . There she sat in the committee for submissions, in the committee for women, labor, health and social affairs, committee for the environment and in the subcommittee "Children and Youth Commission". She was also the youth policy spokeswoman for her group.
