The Ketchum Glacier is an approximately 80 km long glacier on the Lassiter Coast in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows in an easterly direction between the Scaife Mountains and the Latady Mountains to Gardner Inlet .
He was discovered during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) under the direction of the US polar explorer Finn Ronne . Ronne named him after Gerald Ketchum (1908-1992), who was involved as commander of the icebreaker USCGC Burton Island as part of Operation Windmill on a mission for Ronne's expedition.
