The monastery Kecharis ( Armenian Կեչառիս ) is an Armenian monastery in the town of Tsaghkadzor in the province of Kotayk in Armenia . It was founded in 1003 by Grigor Magistros and consecrated to Saint Gregory Lusavoritsch (the illuminator) .

After the destruction of the monastery by the Seljuks , another construction phase began towards the end of the 12th century. The small resurrection chapel Surb Haruthjun was added to the monastery a few meters east of the main complex. A third church of the complex in the south part was built in the 13th century.

Strong earthquakes in 1828 and 1927 destroyed parts of the monastery complex and caused parts of the wall to collapse. In 1937 the monastery was renovated for the first time.
