Kevin Joseph Lynch (born December 24, 1968 in Bloomington, Minnesota ) is a former American - German basketball player .

Life

Lynch, a 1.97 meter tall player who was mostly used in the second position, was part of the University of Minnesota team between 1987 and 1991 . After he had excelled in his final game year 1990/91 with 18.1 points per encounter, the Charlotte Hornets secured his rights in the NBA draft process in 1991. He was called up as the first player in the second selection round. Between 1991 and 1993 Lynch played 96 NBA games for Charlotte. He achieved his best scores in the 1991/92 season when he averaged 4.1 points.

Lynch was in the US league Continental Basketball Association (CBA) in the game year 1993/94 for both the La Crosse Catbirds (21 appearances: 10.5 points / game) and Fargo-Moorhead Fever (9 appearances: 9.9 points / Game) on the field. In April 1994 he moved to the Spanish first division club Taugrés Vitoria for a short period (3 missions: 12.7 points / game). Around a year later, in March 1995, he again accepted the offer of a short-term contract in Spain and played seven games for Pamesa Valencia (7 games: 19.1 points / game).

In the run-up to the 1995/96 game year, Lynch moved to MTV Gießen in the basketball league and was the best scorer in Central Hesse that season. He left MTV after a year, but stayed in the Bundesliga by accepting an offer from TTL Bamberg . He stayed there until the end of his competitive sports career in 2000. In the 1998/99 season he was the best Bamberg scorer in the Bundesliga with 17 points per match and repeated this in 1999/2000 when he won the team's internal list of points with 16.5 each Led the game. Lynch returned to the United States, graduated with a degree in history, and began working as a basketball broadcaster in 2001. He first transferred the games to the University of Minnesota, then from 2008 the NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves .
