Khadija Monifa "Bunny" Shaw (born January 31, 1997 in Spanish Town ) is a Jamaican soccer player who will be under contract with Girondins Bordeaux from 2019 .

Career

Shaw first attended Navarro College in Corsicana , Texas. From 2015 she played for the ESFC Titans of Eastern Florida State College for two years before moving to the Tennessee Volunteers . In the 2018 season she was her team's top scorer with ten goals and was voted Offensive Player of the Year in the Southeastern Conference . She was also named Football Player of the Year 2018 by the British daily The Guardian for her “tragic personal biography”. Shaw decided not to take part in the National Women's Soccer League draft to get a professional contract in Europe or Asia.

In June 2019, she signed a two-year contract with the French first division club Girondins Bordeaux .

National team

At the age of 14, Shaw first appeared for the Jamaican U-15, and since 2015 Shaw has been a member of the Jamaican women's national soccer team . In qualifying for the Women's World Cup in France in 2019 , Shaw was the top scorer in the Reggae Girlz, who qualified for the World Cup for the first time, with 19 goals in twelve games.
