Khalid Askri ( Arabic خالد العسكري, DMG Ḫālid al-ʿAskarī ; Born March 20, 1981 in Missour, Morocco) is a Moroccan football goalkeeper.

Career

Club career

Askri played for FAR Rabat in his youth . From there he made the leap into the professional squad. He played 199 league games from 1998 to 2010. Last season, Askri gained notoriety after saving a penalty but still rolling the ball into goal due to Askri's inattention. His team was then eliminated from the cup.

A few weeks later he lost the ball after a back pass and again conceded a goal. After this action he changed himself in the game against KAC Kenitra and went into the dressing room.

In 2011 he was signed by Chabab Rif Al Hoceima and became a regular goalkeeper. Due to his good performance, he moved to the Moroccan top club Raja Casablanca in 2012, with whom he reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2013 and finished second.

National team

For the Africa Cup of 2013 he was appointed to the Morocco national team for the first time .
