Khaw Boon Wan ( Chinese  許 文 遠  /  许 文 远 , Pinyin Xǔ Wén Yuǎn ; * December 8, 1952 ) is a politician of the People's Action Party (PAP) from Singapore , who was chairman of the PAP between 2011 and 2018 and since 2015 Minister for Coordination of the Infrastructure and is Minister of Transport.

Life

Khaw Boon Wan completed his studies with the support of a scholarship from the Colombo Plan and subsequently worked in the public sector. His political career for the People's Action Party (PAP) began when he was elected Member of Parliament on October 25, 2001 in the constituency of Tanjong Pagar . He has been a member of parliament since then, and has represented the Sembawang constituency since May 6, 2006 .

Immediately after his first election, Khaw Boon Wan became Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts in the government of Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong on November 23, 2001, as well as being Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Transport. July 2003.

Minister of Health

National Development Minister
