content

world

The action takes place in the year 2461, when humanity has expanded into space, inhabited a multitude of planets and made great technological advances. Nevertheless, crime continues to abound, and law enforcement agencies in the largely autonomous planetary systems are often overwhelmed in fighting the crime. That is why the organization GOTT ( Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs ), which was initially a pure trade organization, has developed into its own, everywhere present police. Within GOD there is a secret special task force called ES Force ( Encounter of Shadow-work Force ), which consists of twelve young people with supernatural powers who operate in six groups.

action

The two young GOD agents Éclair (French for lightning ) and Lumière (French for light ) are accompanied on their adventures by an inspector named Crossbow. It quickly becomes clear that Éclair has tremendous powers, while Lumière has the ability to control virtually every computer and machine with just a touch. The three of them do various jobs in which they act against criminals. When used against terrorists who can destroy entire planets with the "Geo Sort bomb". With their colleagues Tweedledee and Tweedledum and Alv and Dvergr, Éclair and Lumière are finally able to put an end to the terrorists. But it turns out that there is a connection between GOD and the proliferation of the "Geo Sort" technology. So Éclair wonders what goals GOD actually pursues. On another mission, Éclair is brainwashed that brings back strong, violent, and unfamiliar memories of possible past lives. Éclair is haunted by memories of her "previous lives" and she begins to wonder and fear who she really is and what she is capable of.

When Éclair manages to deal with her memories, tensions arise with Lumière and GOD when they are supposed to fulfill a mission on the planet Aure. Its inhabitants live in slavery, which is both of GOD's. makes good intentions doubt. When the noble government wants to have the protesters shot during a workers' uprising, Éclair takes their side and goes against GOD. So the uprising is successful, but both are now on GOD's hit list. This is soon forced to move nanomachines to Éclair and Manipulate Lumière into killing her. But crossbow can prevent this and GOD's soldiers withdraw again.

But now they are being pursued by their former colleagues A-ou and Un-ou until Lumière and the persecutors are seriously injured in an abandoned colony. Éclair is able to heal all three after finding an abandoned treatment room. A-ou and Un-ou decide not to pursue the two girls anymore and to quit the service for GOD, which also makes them hunted. Now GOD sends Tweedledee and Tweedledum to Éclair and Lumière. Tweedledee infects the two machines with the Hashish virus (known as Attack 1 in German dubbing ), which they can only stop by destroying them. Now they want to attack GOD themselves, while the GOD agents Alv and Dvergr have their own plans. After fighting with the other ES members, there is a fight between Éclair and the GOD boss Éclipse. Éclair shoots Eclipse, whereupon it falls from the window of the skyscraper into the depths. The GOD headquarters is completely destroyed by the fight.

GOD is being rebuilt after complete destruction, now led by Éclair and Lumière, who have created an army of Éclair and Lumière clones. They are now demanding more power and influence for GOD. But two girls appear who, in turn, oppose GOD's new leaders. It turns out that these are the real Éclair and Lumière in other bodies, while Alv and Dvergr only pretend to be these and control GOD. Together with Éclipse, two clones who are also similar in character, Crossbow, Dextera and Sinistra, they can drop Alv and Dverg. But Lumière now has problems with her body and Chevalier D'Autriche, high commander of GOD, kidnaps a ship. When Alv and Dvergr want to return to power, Éclair and Lumière meet Chevalier, Alv and Dvergr. It turns out that Chevalier was raised by Éclair but they were separated. It comes to the fight against Alv and Dvergr, which continues on earth. And finally also the other agents of GOD. and the fleet of the planetary alliance takes action against Alv, after Dvergr also doubts their actions, they are defeated. After Dvergr Éclair saves his life, Alv and Dvergr drift with the ship into the sun and die. Chevalier also dies as a result of the fight in the arms of Éclair.

reception

According to the German trade magazine Funime , the anime is quickly developing from a simple agent story to a conflict between the fulfillment of duty and one's own claim. The plot offers little real news, but often enough surprise the viewer. The animations and drawings are "good work" and could compete with series like Vandread , even if the animations are only partially simplified. Yet there is no decrease in quality as the action progresses. The music was successful, but nothing special.

Kiddy Girl-and

At the 35th edition of the radio show Suzumiya Haruhi no Yūutsu SOS-dan Radio Shibu on September 29, 2006, the sequel Kiddy Grade 2 was announced. From May 25, 2007, Kadokawa Shoten released a pilot DVD for Kiddy Grade 2 .

On February 26, 2009, however, a new sequel was announced on the website with Kiddy Girl-and ( キ デ ィ ・ ガ ー ラ ン ド , Kidi Gārando ; official spelling: K IDDY G iRL-AND ). Contributors are again Keiji Gotō as director, Megumi Kadonosono as character designer and Hidefumi Kimura as scriptwriter. The action takes place 50 years later with the new protagonists Asakūru and Ku Fīyu. The animations are from Studio Satelight .

The manga version Kiddy Girl-and Pure ( キ デ ィ ・ ガ ー ラ ン ド ぴ ゅ あ , Kidi Gārando pyua ) has been running in it since issue 5/2009 of March 26th of the manga magazine Comp Ace .
