Cosby & Kids ( Kids Say the Darndest Things ) is an American comedy show that aired January 9, 1998 through June 23, 2000 with Bill Cosby as host on CBS . A remake with Tiffany Haddish as the host aired on ABC from October 6, 2019 to January 19, 2020 . The new edition was discontinued after a season.

concept

The moderator begins a conversation about issues in life with a child who shows their own, often entertaining perspective on the subject.

At the beginning of the show there was often a flashback to Linkletter's Show Art Linkletter's House Party , where Cosby was assisted by Linkletter in presenting the clips. They show the same humorous reactions the children get to questions from Linkletter. Cosby also contributed some of the humor.

This concept was continued in the new edition. A part was performed in front of a live audience and part was recorded beforehand.

production

The program is based on a column from Art Linkletters radio and television program House Party , which was shown five days a week from 1945 to 1969.

The first adaptation as a separate television show was produced by CBS Productions together with LMNO Productions and Linkletter's company Linkletter Productions as co-producers.

The remake was produced by CBS Television Studios along with Tiffany Haddish's production company, She Ready Productions, and Eric Schotz of Anvil 1893 Entertainment.
