Kilian Ort (born April 27, 1996 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale ) is a German table tennis player . He is currently under contract with TSV Bad Königshofen .
Career
Kilian Ort started table tennis at the age of six through his father, who was also his first trainer. At the age of twelve he was allowed to play in the men's national league. In 2010 he became the DTTB-48 winner. A year later, Ort and the team became European school champions. In 2014 he represented his country at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing . In the individual, he reached the quarter-finals, while he finished ninth with the team.
From September 2014 he lived and trained at the DTTZ Düsseldorf. He has been playing for TSV Bad Königshofen since the 2013/14 season. In December 2016 Ort was used in a men's international match, in which he won 3-0 against the Swiss Lars Posch . In 2017 Bad Königshofen was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . In the 2017/18 season , Ort had a score of 3:11. The 2018 German Championships were very successful for him , where he defeated Bastian Steger and Ruwen Filus, among others , before losing to Timo Boll in the final . In 2018/19 he was able to improve his Bundesliga record to 10: 9.
He is currently ranked 184th in the ITTF world rankings .
