Lars Joël Posch (born April 3, 1999 in Lachen SZ ) is a Swiss table tennis player . He is currently under contract with TTC Rio-Star Muttenz and plays in the highest Swiss national league.

Life

Starting at the table tennis club Wollerau, he moved to the table tennis club Wädenswil in 2012 . There he trained for seven years and also celebrated his first successes in the National League A. Already in his younger years he stood out for his ambition and his diligence in training. In combination with his talent, Lars was quickly discovered by the national table tennis association and in 2010 he was accepted into the C-team of Swiss Table Tennis . He quickly achieved the desired promotion through hard work and was able to celebrate his first national successes in the same year. In 2012, Lars Posch became Swiss champion in the U13 boys category for the first time . In 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2017 he was allowed to represent Switzerland at the junior European table tennis championships both individually and in a team. In 2018, Lars Posch took part in the World Cup in Halmstad as part of the Swiss men's national team. A year later he took part in the Universiade in Naples . In the same year he took part as one of two Swiss at the individual world championships in Budapest , Hungary . During the 18/19 season he trained at the Rhineland-Palatinate / Saarland Olympic base in Saarbrücken. In 2019 he switched to TTC Rio-Star Muttenz , with whom he is now (as of April 2020) under contract until June 2021.
