Killing Time is a Romanian crime thriller from 2012 that opened in German cinemas on February 20, 2014. The film had its German premiere at the Cottbus Film Festival on November 7, 2013 and is about two hit men.
action
The film begins abruptly with the monologue of an older man who is then killed by one of the nameless protagonists. The two murderers then drive to another victim's apartment. The client is mentioned by name throughout the film, but does not appear personally. In the victim's empty apartment, the protagonists pass the time until the person to be killed arrives. When the victim now appears in the apartment, one of the contract killers (he is only disrespectfully referred to as "Moldovan" by his partner) kills the victim and a short time later his partner and a neighbor. Then he clarifies the cleaning of the crime scene by phone, gets into a taxi and drives to the city center. The film ends with the drive through the night.
criticism
“With the no-budget thriller […], director Florin Piersic Jr. […] staged an homage to genre cinema from models such as Quentin Tarantino. Action moments and bizarre dialogues alternate when the two killers wait for their personal Godot. Well worth a look for friends of the special arthouse film. "
