Karl Ritter (musician, 1959)

Karl Ritter (* 1959 in Stockerau , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian musician and composer .

Ritter learned the violin at the age of six, but switched to the guitar at the age of 12 and soon began improvising and composing his own pieces.

In 1980 Ritter produced his first long-playing record , "Ex-podo-Z". From 1985 commissioned work for the Vienna Renaissance Theater as well as radio play productions for ORF and Bavarian Radio followed .

Knight gained greater fame under the name “Leopold Karasek” as a member of the group around Willi Resetarits alias Kurt Ostbahn , which he worked for from 1988 to 1994 (“Ostbahn-Kurti & die Chefpartie”) and from 1996 to 2003 (“Kurt Ostbahn & die Kombo “) Belonged to.

Ritter recorded several LPs and CDs as a solo artist and as a member of various formations. He was also involved in projects - mainly by Austrian artists - in the fields of music, cabaret and the performing arts. He has also created compositions for theater, film and television.
