Kim Hyang-mi
Kim Hyang-mi (born September 19, 1979 in Pyongyang ) is a North Korean table tennis player who won silver in the women's singles at the 2004 Olympic Games .
Kim Hyang-mi plays with the shakehand stick position and prefers topspins with the forehand.

International success
In 1996, almost 17-year-old Kim Hyang-mi qualified for the first time to take part in the Summer Olympics , where she was eliminated in the first round in singles and doubles with Son Mi.
From 1999 to 2005 she was nominated four times for world championships . In 2001 she reached the quarterfinals in doubles. In the same year she was eligible to play in doubles at the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals . With Kim Hyon-hui , she took second place.
In 2004 she was able to start again at the Olympic Games with the help of a wildcard . This time she won the individual silver medal. She lost 4-0 to the Chinese Zhang Yining in the final . In doubles she reached the quarterfinals with Kim Hyon-hui .
In September 2004 she was ranked 17th in the ITTF world rankings .
