Kim Min-jung (born March 20, 1985 ) is a South Korean short tracker .

Kim, who lives in Jeonbuk , had her first international start at the 2003 Junior World Championships in Budapest , where she won the bronze medal in singles and the relay title. In addition, she managed a distance victory over 1000 meters. In the same year she started for South Korea at the Team World Cup, where she contributed to the second place of her team with good results. At the individual world championship , she failed with the relay in the preliminary stages. Nevertheless, the regional association nominated her for the first time for the Short Track World Cup in October 2003 . Here she did not reach the semi-finals in any single race, with the relay she was disqualified in both competitions in the final.

In the next two years Kim was only used internationally at the Winter Universiade 2005 in Innsbruck . There she won a silver medal over 3000 meters, and she also placed fourth in the 1500 meter distance. Then she managed to return to the World Cup in October 2006. There she won two races over 1500 meters straight away and after further podium placings came tenth in the discipline world cup over this distance. She also achieved several good results over 500 meters, including a second place and even third in the World Cup. In the season she was not used in the only World Cup victory, she also missed the major events of the 2006/07 season. For this she started successfully at the Asia Games 2007 , with several victories.

In the 2007/08 season Kim did not compete internationally, and in the short track World Cup 2008/09 she was also unable to convince in the first races with two fifth places as the best results.
