Kimberly Peirce
Kimberly Peirce (born September 8, 1967 in Harrisburg , Pennsylvania ) is an American director and screenwriter .
She became known for the feature film adaptation of her short film Boys Don't Cry from 1999, which was awarded an Oscar for the best leading role . In 2013 Peirce accompanied the remake of Carrie - Des Satan's Youngest Daughter as a director. The film is based on a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa , which is more closely based on the Stephen King novel of the same name .
