Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (born November 15, 1975 in Managua , Nicaragua ) is a Nicaraguan - American screenwriter , television producer, and comic book writer who developed the television series Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina .

Life

Aguirre-Sacasa was born the son of a Nicaraguan diplomat. He grew up in Washington, DC , where he also studied theater and English literature at Georgetown University , graduating with a master's degree.

For the US broadcaster The CW he developed the two series Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina , in which he worked as both a screenwriter and producer. Both series are based on characters from Archie-Verlag.

He also works as a comic author, so he writes for Marvel and Archie Comics , among others , where he also provided the comic template for the series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina for the latter .
