The King Abdullah Sports City Stadium ( Arabic مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية) is a football stadium , about 50 kilometers north of the city of Jeddah , in the Saudi Arabian province of Mecca . The three grandstand rings offer 62,345 seats. It is the largest stadium in the city and the second largest in the country after the King Fahd Stadium . It is the home ground of the football clubs al-Ahli and Ittihad FC .
On January 16, 2019, the Supercoppa Italiana 2018 took place in the stadium between double winners Juventus Turin and cup finalists AC Milan (1-0).
On June 7, 2019, the American Wrestling League WWE held the major event WWE Super Showdown at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium .
From January 2020, the Supercopa de España will be held three times in the Jeddah stadium. The Spanish Football Association will receive 120 million euros for this.
