The Kingyo Rock ( Japanese 金魚 岩 Kingyo-iwa , German for 'goldfish rock ' ) is a large and elongated rock on the Crown Prince Olav coast in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It rises on the southern flank of the confluence of the Omega Glacier in the Cosmonaut Sea .

Aerial photographs and measurements by a Japanese Antarctic expedition carried out from 1957 to 1962 were used to map it. The US Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred the Japanese designation in 1968 in a partial translation into English.
