Lübs Church

The church Lübs in Lübs in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern belongs to the parish of Leopoldshagen in the provost of Pasewalk in the parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .

Since the 16th century there was a church in Lübs, which at that time was a branch of the Altwigshagen church . The simple half-timbered building was replaced by a brick building in neo-Gothic shapes in 1897 .

The church has a rectangular plan. In the north long side there are three, in the south two pointed-arched windows and a portal with a pointed-arched skylight , in the east gable two windows and a screen . The stepped gables are each set off by plaster strips. There are two smaller windows above each.

The pulpit altar and the church stalls date from the 18th century. In the church there are carved figures of Anna the third and John, which are dated to the first half of the 16th century.

There is a free-standing belfry in front of the west gable. The bell dates from the 14th or 15th century.
