Wegezin Church

The Wegezin Church is a church building in the Wegezin district of the municipality of Krien in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district . It belongs to the parish of Krien- Iven in the Pasewalk provost in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany . Before that she belonged to the Greifswald parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church .

The church was built in 1861 instead of a previous building. The neo-Romanesque building made of neatly hewn stone blocks has a polygonal east apse on the outside , which is rounded on the inside. The frames of the windows and doors as well as the two soaring stepped gables are made of brick .
