The church of the Friederikenstift is an Evangelical Lutheran church in the Hanover district of Calenberger Neustadt . It is located in the old north wing of the Friederikenstift hospital at Humboldtstrasse 5. In 1877, the monastery church was built centrally on the first floor of the building according to plans by Heinrich Wegener , but the monastery was badly damaged in the Second World War , so that the church with extensions during the subsequent reconstruction of the hospital in the south was shifted further and further outwards. It has three naves and is built in the neo-Gothic style. There is an altarpiece that is on permanent loan from the Eimke parish. It shows the saints Maria Magdalena , Nikolaus , Sebastian , Antonius and Barbara as Gothic sculptures . The church was last renovated in 1996.
