The Church of Flistad lies in the Swedish municipality of Skövde in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland , about 20 kilometers north of Skövde .

The church was built around the year 1200. In 1688 it was enlarged by a three-sided choir in the east. The current tower was built after a fire in 1706. The ceiling paintings of the wooden vault date from 1759.

In the cemetery next to the church there is a large barrow from the older Iron Age , which is called Kung Ranes Hög (English: "King Ranes Hill"). In the vicinity there are five grave fields with several stone settings and another barrow.
