Runestone from Kolind

The Romanesque style has been retained and many materials from the old church have been reused. Among other things, these are the (now walled up) women's entrance on the north side, a granite portal with a tympanum field and the Romanesque granite baptismal font. An abstract glass mosaic window by Mogens Jørgensen was added in 1956 .

Runestone from Kolind

In the armory ( Karnhaus ) is the rune stone DR 108, the inscription of which suggests that the Vikings also went on raids with ships from Kolindsund . The stone was discovered in 1868 when the church was rebuilt; it was used as a doorstep in the passage of the church to the armory. The stone is of particular importance because it shows the remains of a double spiral ornament above the inscription and the inscription was created according to the framing principle, which connects the first word of the inscription with the last. In addition, he is the only Danish Gardarike runestone that writes about a death in the east.
