Church of Nuhrut
The church of Nuhrut , also written Nuhrud ( Turkish Nuhrut Kilisesi ), is a Byzantine church , which is dated to the time between 500 and 800 AD.
The half-ruined church is located in the village of Nuhrut (today Gürkuyu), which belongs to the Halfeti district in the Turkish province of Şanlıurfa and is 21 km east of the city of Halfeti of the same name.
The church has a floor plan of 17 m × 10 m and has an apse , which is built to the east . There is no inscription that allows an exact dating of the historical building.
