description
The Gothic hall church has a prominent, compact west tower. Its basement, made of field stones, dates back to around 1200. The other walls, which are made of plastered brick , are around 100 years younger. The windows were later changed. Around 1900 the north side received a two-bay extension. Inside the church there is a Romanesque arch between the tower and the nave .
The church is painted from the beginning of the 16th century. It is related to the painting in the church in Scholen and in Barenburg .
The baptismal font , the foot of which was added, dates from around 1500; it bears a late Gothic inscription.
