Kirchheim bei Tittmoning was mentioned in a directory ( Notitia Arnonis ) as early as the end of the 8th century, alongside Palling and other localities in the region , in the Bishop Arno of Salzburg († 821), a favorite of Charlemagne , who lived in Salzburg and in Chiemgau had listed existing parish churches.
In the first quarter of the 19th century, Kirchheim was a branch village of the town of Tittmoning, which was located in the then Tittmoning Regional Court . Around 1870 the village had 92 inhabitants. On January 1, 1972, the meanwhile independent municipality of Kirchheim was incorporated into Tittmoning.
