Kirsikka Saari

Kirsikka Saari (born December 6, 1973 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish screenwriter and journalist . In 2014 she received an Oscar nomination for the script for the short film Pitääkö mun kaikki hoitaa? .

Life

Kirsikka Saari studied history at the University of Helsinki and graduated in 2001 with a Master of Arts . Already during her studies she worked as a freelance journalist. She then went to the Ylioppilaslehti newspaper for two years . From 2003 to 2006 she worked as a journalist and editorial secretary for the magazine Anna . Since 2006 she has been working as a screenwriter. From 2009 she studied screenwriting for film and television at Aalto University . For the script on Pitääkö mun kaikki hoitaa? she received an Oscar nomination.
