Kirsten Hammann (born November 1, 1965 in Risskov , Denmark ) is a Danish writer .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1984 at the Risskov High School , Kirsten Hammann successfully studied creative writing from 1989 to 1991 at Forfatterskolen in Copenhagen, which was founded in 1987 . A year after graduating, she made her debut as an author with the poetry collection Mellem tænderne . Her debut novel followed two years later with Vera Winkelvir . Under the title of the same name, the book was published by Achilla-Presse in 1996 after a translation by Peter Urban-Halle . Her fifth novel, which appeared in 2011 under the title Se på mig , was also translated into German. Ready for pairing was published in 2014 in a translation by Flora Fink by the Munich publishing house btb.
