Kisir ( Turkish Kısır ) belongs to the Turkish cuisine. Kisir is also often referred to as bulgur salad , as the dish consists mainly of fine bulgur (wheat groats). Kisir is often confused with tabbouleh .

Often with the out - for the preparation of Kisir fine bulgur are durum wheat semolina existing couscous is confused - Pepper Paste, tomato paste , green onions , parsley , tomato , iceberg lettuce , mint , olive oil , lemon juice and seasonings such as salt , pepper and paprika needed. The bulgur is soaked in boiling water for about 15-20 minutes. The spring onions, parsley, mint and tomatoes are cut into small pieces. The bulgur is mixed with the tomato paste, olive oil and lemon juice, the chopped ingredients and spices.

The cold dish is offered as a starter , main course or side dish . Kisir is a very light and quick dish that is very often served with lettuce leaves, cucumber and tomatoes.
