The Kite Stream is a meltwater river in Victoria Land , East Antarctica . In the Victoria Valley it flows from the Lower Victoria Glacier in a westerly direction to Lake Vida .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after James Steven Kite, geological field research assistant at the University of Maine during surveys of the Victoria Valley between 1977 and 1978, who discovered a 43-pound iron meteorite 500 m inland from the Lower Victoria Glacier .
