The Victoria Valley is an extensive, ice-free trough valley in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It extends from the Upper Victoria Glacier to the Lower Victoria Glacier , is north of the Wright Valley and roughly parallel to it.
It was named on the occasion of the campaign carried out from 1958 to 1959 as part of Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions after the alma mater of the Victoria University of Wellington , who had financially supported the expedition.
In the Victoria Valley lies the hypersaline lake Lake Vida .
