The kkStB tender number 55 was a Tender series of kkStB whose tender originally from the Austrian NordWestBahn came (ÖNWB).
The ÖNWB procured these tenders for their XIVb series locomotives in 1909 . They were supplied by the StEG locomotive factory .
After the nationalization of the ÖNWB, the kkStB classified these tenders as class 55 and continued to only couple them with the traditional locomotives of the former Northwest Railway.
