The kkStB 19.0 was an engine - railcars of the Imperial Austrian State Railways kkStB to operate on the local train from Wessely (now Veseli nad Luznici) to Neuhaus (now Jindřichův Hradec) in Bohemia . It was the first Austrian internal combustion engine railcar.
The two-axle vehicle was similar to tram vehicles at the time. It was delivered in 1902 by Austro-Daimler in Wiener Neustadt (engine) and by Ringhoffer in Prague -Smichov (wagon construction part) and initially designated as Z 1 . Between 1904 and 1907 it was called BCM 14000 , from 1907 finally 19.001 .
The railcar is unlikely to have proven itself. The start-up should have been very slow.
In 1912 the vehicle was converted into an ordinary passenger car of the type .
