Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier

Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier (born December 11, 1964 in Verl ) is a German journalist , author and motor sportsman . In 1996 he started his own business and since then has headed the editorial office “KAP text.kommunikation” based in Cologne .

Life

Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier began working as a freelancer for the daily newspaper Die Glocke in Gütersloh in 1983 as a schoolboy . A year later he switched to the Westfalen-Blatt as a permanent freelancer . From 1987 to 1989 he worked for Rallye Racing magazine in Hamburg , followed by six years for Auto Zeitung . There he headed the Test & Technology department in 1995. At the beginning of 1996 Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier went into business for himself and founded the editorial office "KAP text.kommunikation" based in Cologne . His areas of expertise include cars and technology , motorsport and football . Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier and his employees are part of the permanent editorial team of the old and youngtimer specialist journals VW Classic Magazin and Porsche Klassik Magazin, which are published by Delius Klasing Verlag .

Motorsport

Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier has been an active racing and rally driver since 1983 . After the fall of the Berlin Wall , he took part in the East German ADMV rally championship for two years . After a career-related break, he returned to rallying in 2003 with participation in the Youngtimer Rallye Trophy, the highlight of which is the Cologne-Ahrweiler rally every year . In 2008 Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier started in a 1966 Porsche 911 S in the French VdeV endurance championship and together with Andreas Kunert drove a victory in Val de Vienne.

Others

Klaus-Achim Peitzmeier's full family name is Peitzmeier called (gen.) Obermeier. For the sake of simplicity, he is limited to Peitzmeier in daily life, but occasionally starts in motorsport under the name Achim Obermeier.
