Hans-Toni Junius (2011)

Hans-Toni Junius (born February 15, 1956 in Hagen , Westphalia ) is a German entrepreneur and chairman of the management board of CD Wälzholz GmbH & Co. KG , Hagen.

Life

He finished school in 1974 with the Abitur . He then did military service in the Federal Air Force from 1975 to 1976 , last rank: First Lieutenant in the Reserve . 1976 Junius began a study of industrial engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt , which he in 1982 as a graduate industrial engineer graduated. In his diploma thesis he dealt with the financing of small and medium-sized companies. During his professional activity , he obtained his doctorate in 1987 at the Technical University of Darmstadt with a dissertation on the subject of "Continuous annealing of cold-rolled sheet steel" to obtain a doctorate in engineering .

After completing his studies, Junius started at Thyssen Stahl AG , Duisburg , in the research area for materials and processing. From 1987 to 1990 he worked at Rasselstein AG , Neuwied , in the Andernach tinplate factory , most recently as operations manager and manager of the Andernach 2 factory. In 1990, Hans-Toni Junius joined the management of the family company Waelzholz, Hagen. Junius has been CEO of Waelzholz since 2005. In 2011 he was appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Brasmetal Waelzholz SA in São Paulo , Brazil . The focus of his management is on expanding the group of companies at the German locations as well as on internationalization .

Since April 2015, Junius has been chairman of the SME Committee of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and the Federation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) and a member of the BDI Presidium. He is also vice-president of the South Westphalian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Hagen . Since 2004 he has been a member and deputy chairman of the advisory board of AKH Krankenhausgesellschaft Hagen and a member of the advisory board of Deutsche Bank AG. Junius has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences since 2012 and its chairman since November 2017. Since 2012 he has also been chairman of the board of trustees of the Community Foundation of Theaterfreunde Hagen. Junius has been a member of the advisory board of EJOT Holding GmbH & Co. KG since 2014 and has been a board member of Pro Integration e. V.

Junius is married and has three children.
